Average Florida gas prices barely lower than last week

Florida gas prices are averaging about 1-cent cheaper than what they were last week, according to AAA.

The average price for a gallon of gas in Florida is $2.83.

Motorists will find the highest gas prices in West Palm Beach-Boca Raton ($2.96), Tallahassee ($2.90), and Panama City ($2.90). The lowest prices were reported in Punta Gorda ($2.75), Jacksonville ($2.76), and Orlando ($2.77).

AAA surveys up to 130,000 gas stations every day and average prices in their reports are for regular, unleaded gasoline.
