Businesses without power after car crashes into Lee County power pole

LEE COUNTY, Fla. – A car crashed into a power pole on Andrea Lane near US 41 in Fort Myers on Friday.

Power lines were knocked down in the crash, according to South Trail fire crews. Multiple power poles will need to be repaired due to damaged guidelines.

Many businesses in the area are currently without power, and FPL is on scene assessing strategies for repairs.

South Trail firefighters said Andrea Lane remains closed in both directions while crews are on scene.

Anyone at the businesses behind that roadblock will need to leave through the Galeana Dealership.
