Caught on camera: Cape Coral man roundhouse kicks car in road rage incident
CAPE CORAL, Fla.– A road rage incident was caught on camera at a busy Cape Coral intersection.
A witness took a cell phone video at the intersection of Del Prado Boulevard and Hancock Bridge Parkway on Tuesday afternoon.
The witness said two cars were racing each other on the street, swerving lanes and cutting one another off.
Once they stopped at a red light, a man is seen getting out of his car throwing jabs at the persons window appearing to tell them to get out. The man is seen round house kicking one of the cars back windows.
Master Corporal Phil Mullen with the Cape Coral Police Department said in a road rage situation, getting out of your car is never the answer.
“It’s just foolish to get out of your car over something that’s almost certainly trivial,” said Mullen.
He said if you feel threatened in a road rage scenario or if you witness one while out in traffic, call them.
“Don’t enter into the fight so to speak. Let them vent, whatever they’re going to do,” said Mullen. “Be a good witness, don’t enter into the fight and give us a call.”
