Changes coming to Collier County COVID-19 vaccine site
COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. — A change is on the way to the largest coronavirus vaccination site in Collier County on Thursday, April 8.
Starting today, instead of driving up, people will walk up to the vaccination site at North Collier Regional Park.
North Collier Fire Rescue will be administering the shots and volunteers will help with traffic control.
The main reason for transitioning to a walk-up vaccination site is the summer weather that is fast approaching.
A big concern for the drive up side was the summer heat taking a toll on the volunteers that work for long hours outside.
If you have an appointment, you can drive to the site, park your car, fill out any required paperwork and head toward the community center area.
