Clewiston woman airlifted to hospital after Hendry County crash

HENDRY COUNTY, Fla. – A 32-year-old Clewiston woman was airlifted to the hospital with serious injuries after a crash Wednesday afternoon.

The woman was driving south on County Road 835 near Rogers Road around 3:30 pm., according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

She, reportedly, ran off the roadway and crashed into a culvert before being thrown from the SUV she was driving, troopers said.

Emergency rescue crews airlifted the woman to Lee Memorial Hospital with serious injuries.
