DeSantis video pulled from Youtube for COVID-19 misinformation
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – A roundtable discussion video with Governor Ron DeSantis held last month has been removed from Youtube after accusations of COVID-19 misinformation being discussed, NBC reports.
The video was taken down Wednesday for violating Youtube standards, according to Youtube spokesperson Elena Hernandez.
The recording featured a panel of health professionals including Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, former Trump White House coronavirus advisor Dr. Scott Atlas, epidemiologist Sunetra Gupta, and Dr. Martin Kulldorff alongside the Florida Governor, NBC reports.
The American Institute for Economic Research, a “free market” think tank based in Great Barrington, Massachusetts, flagged the video accusing the panel of spreading public health misinformation.
Bhattacharya said the panel was discussing policies on ‘child masking’ to consider judgements and recommendations.
