Ducklings rescued from storm drain on Cape Coral Bridge

IONA, Fla. – Rescue crews saved a group of ducklings that waddled into a storm drain on the Cape Coral Bridge Saturday.

A caller told firefighters a few ducklings fell in the storm drain and were in need of rescue, according to the Iona McGregor Fire District.

Firefighters headed out to the scene, lifted the gate to the storm drain and one-by-one rescued the three ducklings that were trapped, rescue crews said.

Officials said the ducklings were unharmed and returned to safety.
