Forecast: Dry end to the week
High pressure keeps Southwest Florida dry through the start of the weekend.
The only change in weather over the next few days will be a gradual increase in temperatures by Friday and Saturday. Mid-80s are likely again for Thursday under sunny skies, with upper 80s to near 90 likely for the start of the weekend.
Humidity will return by Saturday as well, making it feel a few degrees warmer.
This humidity comes ahead of a front that’s expected to bring shower and storm chances to the area for the second half of the weekend. This front won’t bring cooler weather and is expected to stall across Central Florida for several days.
This boundary will therefore act as a focus for shower and storm development for much of the peninsula through the beginning of the following week. While rain chances aren’t expected to be widespread, daily afternoon storm chances can’t be ruled out through Wednesday.
Humidity and temperatures are expected to remain warm through this period as well, with mid to upper 80s expected each day.
