Governor DeSantis announced Florida will send aid to Mississippi and Louisiana

FORT MYERS, Fla.– Governor Ron Desantis announced that Florida will send aid during Hurricane Ida to Mississippi and Louisiana.

Florida stands with our neighbors across the Gulf Coast & @FLSERT is actively assisting with Hurricane #Ida. We’ve deployed and staged Urban Search and Rescue Task Forces 1 & 2 in Mississippi. USAR Task Force 4 and 50 @FLGuard are mobilizing to Louisiana.

Urban Search and Rescue has been deployed to Mississippi as well as to Louisiana. The Florida National Guard will also be sent to Louisiana according to the Governor’s statement on Sunday evening.

We will continue to use all available resources to support impacted areas and communities as needed.

The Florida Governor said the state will offer all availalable resources.
