Lehigh Acres couple finds creeper trying to break into their home

LEE COUNTY, Fla. – A couple in Lehigh Acres woke up to someone trying to break into their home, leaving them both shaken with their sense of security gone.

“I thought it was a dream at first,” explained Quetcy Marquez, one of the people inside the home.

She said a rattling sound woke her up around 2:30 a.m. late Saturday evening. At first, she figured it was raccoons, but she was wrong. Instead, she saw a man trying to get into her home.

Marquez said her girlfriend came face to face with the suspect.

“She heard a sound by the back door, like someone jiggling the door. So she paused the TV, stared out the window, and this man in a hoodie and mask walks up to the window, stares at her, she screams, and he runs,” Marquez said.

Lee County deputies said the suspect took off and was nowhere to be found when they arrived. If you know anything about the crime or the suspect, contact investigators.
