Man found dead on side of road in Fort Myers

FORT MYERS, Fla. – A man’s body was found on the side of the road off Hanson Street early Tuesday morning

Both Hanson Street and Calvin Boulevard are closed while Fort Myers police investigate.

Officers described the man as a black male in his 50s. Detectives believe he could be a victim of a hit-and-run crash.

The identity of the man and cause of death have not been released.
