Plane lands on road in Florida

LAKELAND, Fla. – A plane landed near Polk Parkway in Lakeland on Thursday.

The Lakeland Police and Fire Department’s responded to the scene where the plane landed on the grassy shoulder near exit 4 on Polk Parkway.

The pilot and passenger that were on the plane are safe and no one was injured, according to Lakeland police.

The eastbound lanes to polk Parkway were closed while the plane was removed.
