Former Barron Collier lacrosse player dies in Tallahassee crash

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. – A recent Barron Collier High School graduate died in an early morning crash in Tallahassee Saturday. Joey DiPascale, 18, graduated from Barron Collier in May 2020 then moved to Tallahassee to pursue a degree in Sports Management at Florida State University. Just after 2 a.m. on Saturday morning, DiPascale drove onto the shoulder of a popular local road, then hit a tree. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Florida Highway Patrol Troopers.
