Pharmacies & health systems pause Johnson & Johnson vaccinations
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Food and Drug Administration said on Tuesday that they are recommending a pause in the use of the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine out of an “abundance of caution” while reports of rare blood clots are being investigated.
The agencies are reviewing data from six reports in the U.S. of a rare and severe blood clot in people after receiving the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
