FORT MYERS, Fla.– April 24th may not mean much to you but dark corners of social media have dubbed this Saturday “National Rape Day.”
The social media posts aren’t to bring awareness to the heinous crime, they’re advocating for it.
According to a Cape Coral Police Department incident report, someone in Cape Coral received a threatening text message from an unknown number Monday that read, “April 24. National rape day. Watch your back.”

The Cape Coral Police Department is searching for a woman who was reported missing and endangered on Tuesday.
Maria Jennifer Feliciano was last seen leaving her home near the 1200 block of Hancock Bridge Parkway in a silver 2019 Dodge Caravan. She was wearing a burgundy-floral dress with beige sandals and carrying a black purse.
Feliciano is 5’5″ and 140 lbs with brown hair and brown eyes.

CAPE CORAL, Fla. – Police are searching for a suspect accused of using stolen credit card information at a Publix grocery store.
The person pictured bought gift cards worth over $600 at the Publix at 127 Cape Coral Parkway West, according to the Cape Coral Police Department.

Investigators are trying to figure out the suspect’s identity.

CAPE CORAL, Fla.– Cape Coral police are working to identify two suspects who damaged the automatic gates at Downtowner Car Wash.
The incident occurred in mid-March.
The damage to the gate was estimated around $6,000.
