Suspect on the run after Fort Myers Dollar General robbery

FORT MYERS, Fla. – Detectives are searching for a suspect involved in a robbery at a Fort Myers Dollar General. The Fort Myers Police Department said the man is a suspect in an open robbery investigation. The suspect is seen walking into the Dollar General located at 3409 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. Women accused of stealing home security cameras from Fort Myers Home Depot

FORT MYERS, Fla. – Deputies are searching for suspects accused of stealing RING brand video and doorbell cameras from a Home Depot in Fort Myers, SWFL Crime Stoppers reported. Two unidentified women were seen loading several cameras into their bags before fleeing the store located on South Tamiami Trail. The pair drove off in a silver Acura sedan, according to officials. Man found dead on side of road in Fort Myers

FORT MYERS, Fla. – A man’s body was found on the side of the road off Hanson Street early Tuesday morning Both Hanson Street and Calvin Boulevard are closed while Fort Myers police investigate. Officers described the man as a black male in his 50s. Detectives believe he could be a victim of a hit-and-run crash. The identity of the man and cause of death have not been released. Four candidates remain to replace Fort Myers City Manager

FORT MYERS, Fla. — The search for a new City Manager in Fort Myers has been narrowed down to four candidates. The current City Manager, Saeed Kazemi, announced in December that he planned to retire in May. Fort Myers started accepting applications in January. They got 113 resumes from around the country. As of this week, they’ve narrowed that list down to four people. Mayor Kevin Anderson says he’s eager to pick the best person for the job. One injured in Fort Myers drive-by shooting

FORT MYERS, Fla. — Officers with the Fort Myers Police Department are investigating a shooting at 2909 Blount Street in Fort Myers. One female was injured in the shooting, a spokesperson with FMPD said. Officers said they don’t have a suspect in custody, but they do have some leads.
