LEHIGH ACRES, Fla.– Lehigh Acres crews responded to a lawn trailer fire on Friday afternoon. Officials said the fire was started by a commercial lawn mower that caught fire while being transported. Firefighters rescue ducklings from Lehigh Acres storm drain

LEE COUNTY, Fla. — A group of ducklings following their mother accidentally slid down a storm drain in Lehigh Acres on Wednesday. Fire crews with the Lehigh Acres Fire and Rescue District responded to Rowland Drive in Lehigh Acres after reports of ducklings in distress. When they arrived, firefighters lifted the storm drain lid and jumped in to help reunite the ducklings with their mother. The baby ducks tried to challenge the rescue crew by hiding in a pipe under the road, but firefighters were able to flush the animals out and bring them to safety. Lehigh Acres road closed due to two-car crash

LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. — Rescue crews responded to a two-car crash with heavy damage in Lehigh Acres Wednesday morning, officials said. Lee Boulevard at Taylor Lane is closed as crews work to clear the scene, according to a spokesperson for the Lehigh Acres Fire Control and Rescue District. Both cars involved in the crash were heavily damaged, firefighters said. Information about injuries is not known, but people from both cars were being checked by paramedics.
