Of all the ways to curb the spread of COVID-19 in schools, wearing masks has arguably become the most controversial. FORT MYERS, Fla. / CNN — The United States has recorded more than 40 million coronavirus cases since the start of the pandemic, with more than 4 million of them reported in the last month, data from Johns Hopkins University show.
