An East Naples resident captured a bear wandering through his front yard on his Ring security camera.
The bear moseyed on through around 3:43 AM on Sunday.
The animal doesn’t seem to be up to any mischief and can be seen roaming out of frame.

NAPLES, Fla. – A mysterious woman named Rosalia advertised around Golden Gate and East Naples, promising to solve relationship problems using “witchcraft services,” according to police.
Instead, she reportedly swindled more than $100,000 combined from at least 10 victims using —not magic— but an elaborate and disturbing scheme, the Naples Police Department reported.

NAPLES, Fla. – Two days before the US Open Pickleball Championships starts, preparations were being made at East Naples Community Park as the pros began practicing for the week-long event.

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. – The Naples Senior Center helped thousands get the COVID-19 vaccine. The last group of seniors that the center registered for COVID-19 vaccine appointments received their shots on Friday.
Dr. Jaclynn Faffer, the president & CEO of the Naples Senior Center, said their mission is accomplished.
“I would say this is probably one of the most important things Naples Senior Center has done,” Faffer said. “It was very laborious but it was a labor of love.”

NAPLES, Fla. – The City of Naples’ mask resolution expired Wednesday, according to officials.
The resolution required anyone to wear a face covering while inside a public building, business, or while attending a public outdoor event when social distancing wasn’t possible.
City officials said individual businesses may continue to establish their own COVID-19 protocols for their customers and employees.
The City of Naples will still require people who enter the city’s government buildings to follow protocols to help protect employees and the public from COVID-19 exposure....
COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. — People who want to get a COVID-19 vaccine can make an appointment to get their first dose in Naples on Thursday.
The vaccination clinic is being hosted at Naples Church (10910 Immokalee Road) and is supported by the Collier County Department of Health and North Collier Fire Control and Rescue District, an authorized provider of COVID-19 vaccines.
People 18 and older will be able to get their first shot tonight at the event that runs from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Second doses will be administered at the same location on May 13.

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. — A wrong-way driver in Naples was caught on camera by a fellow motorist on Tuesday night.
Grace Lebas said she was driving on Vanderbilt Beach Road near Airport Pulling Road around 8:30 p.m. when she noticed the wrong-way driver.
Lebas grabbed her phone and started recording the driver that was heading east in the westbound lanes of Vanderbilt Beach Road.
As the vehicle approached oncoming traffic, the driver hops a median to avoid a crash.

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. – One thousand people got their vaccine at the Pelican Bay Community Center Tuesday. The vaccines were administered by the North Collier Fire Control and Rescue District.
North Collier Fire said they’ve vaccinated ten thousand people since vaccines were distributed. Deputy Chief Jorge Aguilera believes it wouldn’t be possible if they did not have an advanced life support service license.
“What was a battle years ago to provide care to the street turned out to be the key to be able to help our community during this pandemic,” Aguilera said.

NAPLES, Fla.– North Collier Fire crews responded to a garbage truck on fire Tuesday afternoon.
The garbage truck caught fire on 41st Avenue in Golden Gate Estates. The fire started in the back of the truck.
The truck dumped its contents in the street, which is protocol.
North Collier firefighters were able to extinguish the flames.
There were no injuries.
