Message stuck to dead alligator found in Collier County

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla.– A dead alligator was found marked with a message near Olde Cypress Golf Course on Monday morning.  “I was walking along Logan Boulevard and was pretty startled to see a dead alligator laying there along the path with a big piece of yellow tape stuck on it,” Elizabeth Axeberg said.  The yellow piece of tape was stuck on the gators stomach with a message saying “hit by a car”.  “It was just very surprising that someone would be callous enough to take the time to stick a piece of tape on it then just throw it to the side of the road. It just doesn’t...

Then, at three months into the pregnancy, Noah suddenly had company. An ultrasound taken at week 12 showed that Noah had an unexpected little sister — fraternal twin Rosalie, CNN reports. “I got pregnant whilst I was already pregnant, which was absolutely crazy … because that’s...

Man finds slithery surprise in his salad bag

CANBERRA, Australia [AP] – When Alex White returned home from a trip to a Sydney supermarket, he quickly realized he wasn’t alone. As he unpacked plastic-wrapped lettuce he had bought, he thought he saw a huge worm wiggling around — until its tongue flickered. It was a snake, and a venomous one at that. “I kind of completely freaked out when I saw this little tongue come out of its mouth and start flicking around and realized it was a snake because worms don’t have tongues,” White said on Thursday. “I definitely kind of panicked a bit,” he added. It was a venomous pale-headed snake...

Rare Super Mario Bros. game sells for $660,000

After being forgotten in a desk drawer for almost 35 years, a sealed copy of the Nintendo video game Super Mario Bros. sold at auction on Friday for a whopping $660,000. It’s the most ever paid for a video game, according to a news release from Heritage Auctions, which ran the sale. The Dallas-based auction company said the NES cartridge was purchased as a Christmas gift in 1986 and was untouched until the seller found it earlier this year. “It stayed in the bottom of my office desk this whole time since the day I bought it,” said the unidentified seller...
