Truck carrying port-a-potties flips in Charlotte County

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. – A truck carrying port-a-potties flipped on El Jobean Road in Charlotte County on Saturday.

The Allied Portable truck driver lost control of the truck while driving, according to Charlotte County Fire and EMS. The driver’s truck crossed the median and flipped on its side in the westbound lane.

Charlotte County fire crews said the driver was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

The Public Works Department was called to help crews contain the sewage leak from the port-a-potties. They were empty, but they always have a small amount of sewage.

Crews said the westbound lanes were closed off while the truck was being removed.
