Waterlogged truck pulled out from water at Wiggins Pass boat ramp
COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. — Rescue crews pulled a submerged truck out of the water from the Wiggins Pass boat ramp on Thursday.
Reports of a sunken truck rang in to the North Collier Fire Department around 1:20 p.m. on April 15.
Fire crews responded and were able to prevent a hazardous material situation with their quick thinking and actions. They used a Rapid Entry Dive Pack and hooked a winch onto the truck to pull it out of the water.
The truck ended up in the water due to “driver error,” firefighters said.
